Behold the new split single from Los Angeles based Psychedelic Outfit Send Medicine. On “Second Biggest Fan” and “High in the Rain” the band let you into their workshop where they’ve been busy morphing their sound away from a more traditional psychedelia into something more fleshed out and expansive; while still remaining true to their roots.The band will be releasing two full length albums in 2021 and these two songs are a sneak peak of some of the musical avenues they have been flirting with. “Second Biggest Fan” sees the group experimenting with a haunting echo of group harmonies and the use of more piano than ever before on a Send Medicine track, while “High in the Rain” incorporates a more avant-garde song structure while including some lush backup vocals from fellow Los Angeles rising star Lauren Ruth Ward. The band felt like these tunes were simpatico with an autumn backdrop, and were perfect for an October listening party. The group is planning their first European Tour for May of 2021.
